About Lisa

Lisa Jane has worked internationally in musicals, theatre and film. She has performed as a solo artist and singer for events, although her most recent work has involved singing as a soprano for various choirs in London. She has also worked on several short films and as a model. Originally trained at Rose Bruford College specialising in American Theatre Arts, her core experience is as a musical theatre performer, model, singer and actress.

Her recent choir work has included Encore Choir and Commercial Vocalists. She was also a soprano in the production of MASS by Leonard Bernstein at the Royal Festival Hall in London, directed by Jude Kelly and a “Sprechchor Member” in the production of THE GENDER AGENDA performed at The Queen Elizabeth Hall, London Sinfonietta directed by Ted Huffman. 

 

Lisa Jane's recent film work has included “Woman in the Red Hat” in the short film PURE IMAGINATION by Steven Bakewell as well as other shorts and assisting with some voiceover work for short corporate films.

Some of her favourite jobs have included working for TNT Productions (in association with ADG Productions) on two No1 European Tours and one International No 1 Tour. This included “Virginia” in THE CANTERVILLE GHOST, “Helena” in A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM and “The Ghost of Christmas Past/Present” and Ensemble Characters in A CHRISTMAS CAROL. As well as the dual roles of “Ismene” and "Tiresius” in ANTIGONE for Cuppa Theatre at the Cockpit Theatre.

Her modelling work has included a shoot for Roy Harrop Photography as part of THE URBAN BALLET PROJECT and for Steven Bakewell for various photography projects. 

Highlights of her early work include THE SISTER WENDY MUSICAL – POSTCARDS FROM GOD, directed by Marcus Reeves as “The Ballet Dancing Nun” which toured London Fringe Venues. As well as performing at The Edinburgh Festival in the comedy READY STEADY DATE, directed by Claudia Morcroft, where she played “Robyn”, a neurotic New Yorker, who travels to London to find love.

Other past work has included – “Marion” in ROBIN AND THE WITHERING WOOD (musical TIE tour, Kinetic Theatre), “Nadine” in NADINE (Feature Film, Matchstix Productions),  “Victim/Zombie” in COLIN (Feature Film, Marc Price Production), “Popo Kitten” in POPO GIGI PILOT (Music Video for Bollywood TV, Sam Sterling Productions), “Kerry” in THE UNWELCOME (Feature Film, Lone Wolf Productions), “Lady Margaret De Clare” in EDWARD II (Theatre Tour, The Kent Theatre Company), “Holly” in THE BEST OF CHRISTMAS (Small Scale Panto tour, Tickled Pink Productions).

In 2006 she performed her own work at one of Stand-Up Drama’s London Bites monologue events in a piece called PLATFORMS.
